Cambodia v-Pass

Cambodia Officially Launches “v Pass” to Replace Immigration Stamps & QR Code Slips

The Cambodian Ministry of Interior has formally launched the v Pass, a fully digital visitor pass system that replaces traditional passport stamps and paper/QR immigration slips.

Effective July 1, 2025, the new system is now mandatory for all travelers through three international airports and seaport.

a)    What is the v-Pass?
•    Digital entry/exit record: Instead of ink stamps or printed QR slips, travelers now receive an emailed v Pass after immigration processing.
•    Seamless integration: Delivered automatically via email or accessed through the official e Arrival portal (www.arrival.gov.kh) or the Cambodia e Arrival app.
•    No physical stamp: At official points of entry, immigration will not physically stamp passports. Visitors are advised to retain a digital or printed copy of the v Pass for the duration of their stay.

b)    What Travelers Need to Know
•    Entry/exit: At border control, simply present your passport. The v Pass will be emailed; no stamps or physical slips will be issued.
•    Keep it accessible: Save the digital v Pass on your phone or print a copy. Authorities advise keeping it on-hand throughout your stay.
•    Visa rules remain unchanged: e visas, visas-on-arrival, and visa exempt travel are still governed by standard immigration policy; v-Pass supplements, rather than replaces, visa procedures.

c)    How to Use Your v-Pass
•    Entering the Country:
o    Present your passport at immigration
o    The immigration officer will process your entry
o    Instead of receiving a physical stamp, you will receive a v-Pass via email
o    Keep this v-Pass accessible during your stay
•    During Your Stay:
o    You may be asked to show your v-Pass for verification purposes
o    You can display it on your mobile device or print it out
o    Always respect the duration of the stay indicated on your v-Pass
•    Departing the Country:
o    Present your passport at departure immigration
o    Your departure will be recorded in the system
o    No physical exit stamp is needed
