Overview
Begin with a countryside drive out of Siem Reap toward a peaceful conservation site where rescued wildlife is protected and cared for, offering a quiet look into Cambodia’s efforts in environmental preservation. Continue the journey with a break for a simple local lunch before heading into a light jungle hike, where a shaded trail leads to ancient river carvings, sacred Hindu imagery, and the unique “1000 Lingas” carved into the sandstone riverbed. Later, unwind in a tropical butterfly garden filled with native species fluttering freely in a calm, natural setting. The day closes with a relaxed return to Siem Reap after a mix of nature, light adventure, and cultural discovery.

• 08:00 | Depart from hotel for Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity
Drive out of Siem Reap to the countryside about an hour drive, upon arrival to the foothill, you visit the Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity. It aspires to become a focal point for wildlife conservation and environmental activities throughout the northwest of Cambodia. Most animals arriving at ACCB have been rescued from the illegal wildlife trade. The center aims to promote the rescue of wildlife and to provide adequate rehabilitation. (Note: It is closed Sundays and public holidays, Banteay Srei Butterfly Centre will be replaced.)

Stop at local restaurant for your early lunch and break during mid-heat day or you need to hiking first.
• 13:00 | Uphill Hiking to Kbal Spean Bridge
Continue a short journey, you now start a 35-minute uphill 1.5 km trail through a bit of an adventurous hike for a visit to Kbal Spean, so-called "Bridge Head". Deep in the jungle at the top, a 150-meter stretch of riverbed displays rock-cut relief in sandstone depicting the god Vishnu and other Hindu mythology scenes. As you walk along the river, you will also see 1,000 Lingas that have been elaborately carved into the riverbed under the crystal-clear water. Exploring the site. (Note: The river probably fills up with water between July and October; otherwise, there is very little.)
• 16:00 | stop to visit Banteay Srei Butterfly Center
You stop for a visit to the Banteay Srei Butterfly Centre (BBC) consists of a netted tropical garden with thousands of free-flying butterflies, all of which are native species to Cambodia. The revenue from tourist admission provides support for local poverty alleviation and conservation projects.
Remark: If customers have their own validated temple pass and want to visit Banteay Srei temple, just let our guide facilitate, no extra charge. And if customers have a validated Angkor Wat pass, we refund USD5/adult).
