Overview

Depart early and drive through local villages to experience rural Cambodian life before boarding a private wooden boat at Kampong Phluk to explore the floating village and paddle through the shaded flooded forest on Tonle Sap Lake, tasting local snacks along the way. Enjoy lunch at a lakeside restaurant, then on the return journey, visit the Roluos Group, including Bakong, Preah Ko, and Lolei, to see some of the earliest Khmer temples and delicate carvings that mark the beginnings of Angkorian architecture.

  • Siem Reap

    Breakfast Lunch Dinner

    7:30, depart from your hotel. 

    8:00-13:30. Drive further passing along the local village where you can see how rural life is. Upon arrival at the lake inlet, get on a private wooden boat from Kampong Phluk’s pier to visit the floating village on Tonle Sap Lake.  A short stop and ride on a rowboat through an impressive flooded forest where you can enjoy paddling beneath shady trees makes you feel breathtaking with its romantic atmosphere; you may also taste local snack on board.  Then the boat drives downstream onto the great lake of Tonle Sap where it offers you a close look at the submerged forest. Note: Kampong Phluk may fully flood between Sep-Nov alternative floating village at Chong Kneas can be arranged instead during low water level.

    Disembark at a stile local restaurant that will be ready to serve your lunch on the lake. 

    14:00-16:00. On the way return, stop to visit to the pre-Angkorian capital of the Roluos Group. The complex features three temples of different locations: Bakong, Preah Ko “The Sacred Bull” and Lolei temples, the monument structures built from the beginning of finest examples of decorative carving in Khmer art.
