Phnom Penh Full Day City Tour
Breakfast Lunch Dinner
7:50, depart from your hotel.
8:00-9:30. First head, you will visit Royal Palace built in 1866, being as the official residence of the King. It is an excellent example of Khmer architecture with an element of French influence. Inside, you visit Throne Hall is where the king's general and official ceremonies and Silver Pagoda houses many national treasures such as gold and jeweled Buddha statues and inlaid with more than 5,000 silver tiles covering its floors.
You may stop at a cozy atmosphere under the trees for your coffee and some snacks before jumping into the museum (Note: Any consumption is on your own account).
9:30-11:00. Continue to visit National Museum-built of red bricks by the French in a pseudo-traditional Khmer style with an inviting courtyard garden. It is one of the world's largest collections of Khmer art, including sculptural, ceramics, bronzes and wooden objects. More than a thousand items are on display which are dating from the pre-Angkorian period to the post empire time.
Head back to your hotel for relaxing or stop at preferred restaurant for your own lunch.
14:00-15:00. You will discover Cambodia’s dark history and horror of Phnom Penh’s past of its city. First head, visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former high school which was used as the notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21) by the Khmer Rouge regime.
If you wish to browse through the colorful Russian Market? It is the place to shop for discounted brand-name clothing, also the best place in the city for wooden and stoned carvings, jewellery and silk souvenirs.
Or you may stop at Java Creative Café? It is more than just a café—it's a vibrant cultural hub in Phnom Penh that brings together food, specialty coffee, local creativity and a cozy atmosphere with showcasing art exhibitions (Note: Any consumption is on own account).
16:00-17:00. Then drive outskirts for a visit Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, a former orchard and mass grave of victims of the dark period. After the fall of the dark regime, graves containing about 8,895 bodies were discovered. A grim visit, but it is important site that will allow you to gain insight into Cambodia history.
