    Breakfast Lunch Dinner

    7:50 or 13:50, depart from your hotel. 

    8:00-9:30 or 14:00-15:30. Get inside Wat Ounalom is one of the most important and oldest Buddhist monasteries, founded in 1443, where you will explore the traditional Khmer-style buildings and the central vihara (main temple hall) and visit the stupa that houses an eyebrow hair of the Buddha and wall painting depicting his story. Then you will experience a blessing ceremony where monks chant Pali scriptures and sprinkle holy water for good luck, health, and prosperity. You can also discuss the core principles of Buddhism, such as the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path and learn about the daily life of the monk for religion and society.


    10:00-10:30 or 16:00-16:30. You will climb up to visit Wat Phnom (Mountain Pagoda), which was built in 1372 as the founding place of the city. Inside the temple, you will experience the Chakkumpi "Khmer fortune teller" manuscript on palm-leaf performed by selecting passages of hazard or luck and drawing from them indications concerning future events—an authentic experience with Khmer belief.
