  • Arrival - Phnom Penh, Cambodia

    Sua s'dei! Welcome to Cambodia.

    Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, you will be welcomed by tour leader who will escort you directly to hotel for relaxing.  Note: Official check-in time at 14:00 early check-in subject to room available. 

    Founded in 1372 and capitalized from 1434, Phnom Penh was known as the "Pearl of Asia" and was considered one of the most beautiful cities built by the French during the colonial period in the region. Despite the influence of war and revolution, the city is still famous for its heritage and beautiful architecture.

    The rest of balance day is free at leisure and enjoy swimming at hotel pool.

    First head, you will visit Royal Palace built in 1866, being as the official residence of the King. It is an excellent example of Khmer architecture with an element of French influence. Inside, you visit Throne Hall is where the king's general and official ceremonies and Silver Pagoda houses many national treasures such as gold and jeweled Buddha statues and inlaid with more than 5,000 silver tiles covering its floors. 

    Late afternoon, a private wooden boat will await you in a cozy atmospheric view for sunset cruise on the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers and watch how Phnom Penh’s popular riverfront comes to life in the early evening, with drink for your degustation on board. 

    Tonight, welcome dinner will be served at Friends is an organization that offers food, shelter, medical care, training and educational facilities for homeless children. (Note: Closes during public holiday & student vacation, alternative local restaurant subjects to replace.)

  • Phnom Penh - Kampot

    This early morning, you will be overlanded through the countryside to Kampot, accompanied by your guide (151Km, approx. 3:00 hour drive).

    Drive up from the bottom of mountain rank for overview Bokor mountaintop. At an elevation of approximately 1,000 meters from sea level, the eerie charm of the abandoned hill station built by French in the early 1920's. That consists of a shell of a church, an elegant hotel and casino, former royal residences and a Buddhist monastery. You will enjoy the beauty of sublime views of the coastline, pristine jungle and cloud's floating. You can also enjoy refreshment bath at Povokvil Waterfalls.

    Picnic lunch at local restaurant nearby the fall is own your own account.

    Continue to Kampot directly to hotel, you might choose to stroll by the river and observe the French colonial architecture or relax on the veranda of one of the riverside restaurants and admire the view of the Bokor mountains.

    You spend an early afternoon on through a small river loop trail on the edge of a national park. A unique experience allows you to surround yourselves with nature and jungle.

    You will drive pass by the Secret Lake-an impressive size of dam built by man-made during the Khmer Rouge. Now, you are ready to get inside pepper farm, a family-owned pepper plantation. Because of its unique soil and weather makes the province pepper faming around the world. You have an opportunity to taste a raw peppercorn straight from the vine or drying-the different flavor of spicy!

    Then you are ready to learn to cook Cambodian dished based on famous Kampot pepper where you will prepare it for your dish and experience when you are back home.

  • Kampot - Sihanoukville - Koh Rong island

    Early morning, walk along the riverfront to watch the fast and furious fish market. Fish of all kinds lined the sidewalks brought in from the daily catches along the river. The market started in the wee hours and packed up by 7am when the fisherman jumped back on board and headed out for another day on the water. 

    Transfer back to hotel for your breakfast and refreshment. 

    Now, you are ready to overland drive Sihanoukville (99Kg, approx. 1:30 hour drive). Sihanoukville so-called “Kampong Som” is one of coastal cities in Cambodia.  The beach is the best with wide white sand and shallow, placid waters perfect for swimming. 

    Then you will take a sharing speed boat to Koh Rong Island (about 45 min), upon arrival directly to hotel for your relaxing.

  • Sihanoukville - Phnom Penh

    After breakfast at hotel, you will take a sharing speedboat back to mainland, upon arrival, meet your guide then transfer to Phnom Penh and directly to hotel for relaxing.  Lunch is on you own account.

    Afternoon, you will discover Cambodia’s dark history and horror of Phnom Penh’s past of its city. First head, visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former high school which was used as the notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21) by the Khmer Rouge regime. Then drive outskirts for a visit Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, a former orchard and mass grave of victims of the dark period. After the fall of the dark regime, graves containing about 8,895 bodies were discovered.  A grim visit, but it is important site that will allow you to gain insight into Cambodia history. 

    Late afternoon, you will be greeted by a driver who will take you by Cyclo for a fun tour of the most significant sights of the city. Three-wheeler cyclos were introduced to Phnom Penh streets in 1936. Its drivers are happy to bring you around for a new experience tour former French quarter and browsing through the colorful market at Central Market, is a large market in the shape of a dome with four arms branching out into vast hallways with countless stalls of goods, you can find clothes, souvenirs, jewellery and tasting local food.

    Have you ever thought about discovering and tasting high-quality beers in Phnom Penh? Now, you will be ready to visit the microbrewery at Himawari. Made from the finest malt and hops, the beers crafted here are unique in flavor and of the highest quality that you can taste with six different flavors of newly produced beer after visiting its processing.     Your tasty dinner tonight will be served at Malis restaurant-has outdoor and indoor seating. Malis is the most renowned place to serves contemporary and traditional Khmer cuisine.

  • Phnom Penh - Battambang

    This morning, pick up you from hotel and drive through the countryside to Battambang (291 Km, approx. 5:30 hour drive).  Nearby Kampong Chhnang town, you will be transferred through serene rice fields dotted with sugar palms, many with bamboo ladders running up the trunk. Now you witness the process of how to make low-fired pottery wares where the area’s famous for. The locals produce traditional pottery by mixing ancient techniques with modern ones in order to make their goods more attractive. 

    Upon arrival directly to hotel for relaxing. (Lunch on own account). 

    Cambodia's second-largest city, Battambang-is a pretty riverside town of French elegance, friendly Khmer people and beautifully preserved colonial architecture. A short drive from town, the scenery quickly becomes one of villages and rice paddies, offering an excellent opportunity to see a bit of authentic rural Cambodia.

    Afternoon, visit Phare Ponleu Selpak (PPS) is a Cambodian non-governmental organization (NGO) aiming to support community development through providing social, educative and cultural services to children and their families. The circus school has welcomed kids and teenagers to train all day long in several circus disciplines: acrobatics, juggling, balancing, contortion, trapeze and clowning. Those kids are now young adults who have become professional artists. (Note: The school will be closed every weekend and public holiday.)

    Late afternoon, head to Phnom Sampov, also known as "Ship Hill," offers an uphill walk on 700 steps, featuring a pagoda that was a Khmer Rouge torture center. The hilltop offers stunning views of the countryside and a natural cave with uprooted stones. At dusk, millions of bats create unique patterns. 

    Tonight, you will join a home-cooked meal, perhaps tasting local dishes such as amok, Khmer curry, and fried spicy chicken, not only the tasty food but also a delightful opportunity to get a "taste" of Cambodian family life.

  • Battambang - Siem Reap

    Wake early and take a bicycle ride into the countryside. The ride is easy about 22km and takes in mostly shady roads and countryside through local villages. Along the way, stops at several family-run cottage industries who produce traditional products such as rice paper, dried bananas, and rice wine, production of the famous prahok (fish paste). A stop and enjoy with the seasonal fruit & coconut fresh juice. Finish up at the best Kralanh (sticky rice in bamboo) you can also taste. 

    Lunch will be served at Jaan Bai, meaning ‘rice bowl’, is a flat of an original French colonial building in the heart of city. The restaurant is a social enterprise providing skills and employment for young people of family who live in poverty.

    Now, you will be traveling the rural village to Siem Reap (172 km, approximately 3:00 hour drive). Upon arrival, directly to hotel for check in. The rest of balance day is free at leisure.

  • Siem Reap

    After breakfast at hotel, you will visit the last capital of the Khmer Empire, Angkor Thom is literally "Great City" which was established in the early 12th century. Stop to visit Bayon Temple sits at the heart of the capital. Its masterpiece consists of 54 standing towers with four huge smiling faces, and its outer gallery contains about 11000 bas-reliefs depicting heroic historical tales as well as scenes of Khmer daily life in that civilization.

    Optional visiting Preah Khan, meaning "Royal Sword" which was the central Buddhist temple, and it was more than just a monastery yet also an entire city enclosing a town. The temple serves today as an outstanding example of a large linear temple complex in a jungle setting where you can enjoy a fascinating view.

    Optional accessing the temple through a footbridge during your visit Neak Pean, means "The entwined serpents" and a very great snake-Naga encircled the temple. The tiny artificial island sits in the center of a reservoir measuring 3,500 meters by 900 meters, making the site flood during the rainy season. 

    On the way, you will stop at a small local market where you will be able to taste Nom Banh Chok “Cambodian noodle” is a unique Khmer dish, loved by locals and tourists alike. It consists of rice noodles topped with a green fish gravy and heaps of fresh green beans, bean sprouts, banana flower, cucumbers and other greens, do not forget green chili.  

    Then you will take a shady walk along the tall tree-lined avenues and explore the beautiful Ta Prohm temple. The huge roots of giant trees and vines make this temple unique and famous. The temple is so peaceful and restored to nature that it was even used as a filming location for Angelina Jolie's film ``Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.''

    Early evening, the time for an epic local food adventure in Siem Reap evening starts off with a ride on a motor-remork (Cambodia tuk tuk) by the lady driver. It is the easiest and fun way to look around you on board, aside from supporting women. 

    We will zip you through the streets, off the tourist trail and straight into local street heaven. Your food-loving local guide will uncover hidden local street food treasures and beloved recommendations of local snacks, or Khmer rice cake that you will be able to taste with different more foods. Our food mission also continues with a tasting of seasonal fruits that are grown around, next stop is a local restaurant to sample some tasty local delicacies dinner, before finishing at a dessert stall where fruit shakes.

    After dinner, you will have the option to return to your hotel or end our Siem Reap food tour at Pub Street – a convenient spot¬ that’s perfect for exploring local bar and café life. Alternatively, our local guide will be happy to provide some less touristy recommendations for a great night out.

    Get up early for an eye-catching sunrise at Angkor Wat, you might be lucky to see the sunlight rays clear for a dawn display of color over the towers, making the view towards the temple stunning. 

    Then you will have a refreshment breakfast box from hotel and coffee before jumping into the discover the temple during less visitors. 

    Angkor Wat built in 1113-1150. The structure is said to be one of the world’s largest religious monuments. It appears to have been both the state temple and mausoleum, dedicating to the god Vishnu, then for Buddhists. The temple is famous for bas-reliefs encircling the temple wall depicting scenes from Hindu mythology and the historical wars of the King. The central tower reaches a height of 65 meters where you may also climb up and enjoy a breathtaking view. Angkor Wat symbolizes the soul of the Khmer people and graces every Cambodia's flag.

    Head back to hotel for refreshment. 

    This morning you will experience with home-cook with family at the countryside where you will have opportunity see the authentic life. First, you will visit the local market for buying some ingredient and herps, vegetable for your cook.  Next, you will join the pretty traditional wooden house of this nice Cambodian family to get into the kitchen and learn to prepare typical dishes every day. 

    Then, accompanied by your hosts, you will go to the pagoda to offer part of your culinary preparations. You will have the opportunity to live the unique experience of learning more about the life of a Monk and Theravada Buddhism and a way of life that most people incorporate into their daily life. You will get to meet the Monks, experience a sacred water blessing for good luck and prosperity - a very special experience during your travels.

  • Siem Reap

    After a short rest at the hotel after breakfast, you head out from Siem Reap town 30km about 1:00 hour drive, passing along the local village where you can see how rural life is. Upon arrival at the lake inlet, get on a private wooden boat from Kampong Phluk’s pier to visit the floating village on Tonle Sap lake.  It is the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia, connects to the Mekong river. Tonlé Sap Lake plays as of central importance role for Cambodia's food provision.

    On board a cruise slowly through the canal of the village, you will be thrilled at the scenic beauty of a unique and authentic Cambodian village on the lake. A short stop and ride on a rowboat through an impressive flooded forest where you can enjoy paddling beneath shady trees makes you feel breathtaking with its romantic atmosphere. Then the boat drives downstream onto the great lake of Tonle Sap where it offers you a close look at the submerged forest, and a breathtaking view of the seemingly endless water surface. Note: Kampong Phluk may fully flood between Sep-Nov alternative floating village at Chong Kneas can be arranged instead during low water level.

    Continue to visit Banteay Srei temple, the so-called “Citadel of the Women”. The temple’s most intricate-deep carvings and architectural details in a unique pink-hued sandstone temple well preserved the best of Khmer art. 

    On the way back, stop to see the village vendor stalls along the roadsides, you can taste palm wine and palm sugar chunks wrapped in palm leaves, and you may also try the fresh palm sugar syrup collected in bamboo.

    Afternoon, you visit Artisan d'Angkor, a complete site of the arts and crafts school will take you through the various training and production workshops. Discover the traditional techniques used for wood sculpting, stone carving, lacquer work, polychrome and stone patina work, with the explanations of a dedicated guide.  Continue to visit Angkor Silk Farm center of Puok where you will discover the various stages involved in Silk production, from mulberry tree orchards to silkworm breeding, the spinning mill and the weaving process.

    Enjoy some free time to visit the Old Market is the most tourist-oriented. The riverside market has more souvenir stalls offering a fairly wide range of souvenirs. Next to the side carries items of interest primarily to locals, and also harbors dozens of small food stalls servings various inexpensive local foods that hygienically and gastronomically adventurous visitors may find inviting.

    Farwell dinner will be served at Lum Orng, the first farm-to-table restaurant in a village on the edge of Siem Reap. The food ingredient comes from seasonal produce from its organic farms and gardens, offering you a wonderful moment during your meal.
